WSPBuilder 1.4 and SP 2007 wf ?

Hi,

On a VM with W2K8 R2 X64,  I've set up WSS 3.0 X64, VS 2010 and WSPBuilder V 1.4 beta.

Everything seems to be ok except the workflow designer (in a WSPBuilder project type). The toolbox is empty, and even I "show all", sharepoint workflow activities remains grayed.

Any idea ?

Thx

Yes, 1.4 beta also lacks some of the ItemTemplates: Event Handler is gone, Solution Installer Configuration, etc.

This is because the .csproj created by WSPBuilder Extensions file does not contain the correct Project Type Guids.  You can fix this by replacing them with the following:

<ProjectTypeGuids>{F8810EC1-6754-47FC-A15F-DFABD2E3FA90};{14822709-B5A1-4724-98CA-57A101D1B079};{FAE04EC0-301F-11D3-BF4B-00C04F79EFBC}</ProjectTypeGuids>

Once you've done that, reload the project and the SharePoint WF activities should appear in the toolbar.

I also got some issues with workflows not starting correctly with the message "Failed on start (retrying)" in the SharePoint list and "Engine RunWorkflow: System.Workflow.ComponentModel.Compiler.WorkflowValidationFailedException: The workflow failed validation." in the ULS logs.

This was resolved by including the following at the bottom of the .csproj file:
  <Import Project="$(MSBuildBinPath)\Microsoft.CSharp.targets" />
  <Import Project="$(MSBuildToolsPath)\Workflow.Targets" />
  <Import Project="$(MSBuildExtensionsPath)\Microsoft\Windows Workflow Foundation\v3.5\Workflow.Targets" />
